This product was a good buy for what I needed it for, however, when I first installed all the programs and got the computer up and running, it asked if I wanted to update to Windows 11. I thought that by updating it would save me time and have the latest installs, but I needed at first to operate a certain app with windows 10. By the time I found out how to go back to Windows 10 (the easy way) it was too late. You only get 10 days from installing to revert back to 10 if needed. Therefore, I had to watch videos and get extra help to do it the hard way. No harm, no foul at this point. The computer itself has beautiful images. And it’s handy for my kid and me to do our work on.

I love that it is lightweight and smaller. It's not tablet size, but its not bulky like other laptops. I bought it for my home based business and it works great. The down side is that when you first start it up and set it up it is set as Windows 10 S and you are unable to install apps that are not Microsoft approved like Chrome, Firefox, Facebook Messenger, and Adobe Acrobat. However, you can find similar apps on the Microsoft store. If you would rather have Win 10 then you can switch to it from either the Microsoft store or your settings. You will lose some of the Windows 10 S features like the extra security protection. Another reason I gave 4 stars on storage capacity is that there is only 5 gigs of one drive space. You can either upgrade or if you have a family or business version of Microsoft Office 365 then you'll have the full 1TB of one drive space. I plan to upgrade the hard drive in the future to a 1TB. Overall, it is a great buy and perfect for what I need it for. I chose to keep the Win 10 S as the operating system. And I just transferred my files to my one drive account I have associated with Microsoft Family so I have all my files. I just delete what I don't need from my main account after it has been uploaded to my secondary account. Just a word of warning you are not able to link Microsoft accounts to each other so make sure when you set up your laptop that you choose the account you want to login with because once it is set it cannot be changed.

Purchased this after seeing the great reviews. I used for less than 2 weeks and then it started crashing. Kept giving me an error message, then I'd restart it and a few hours later it would crash again. Interval between the "crashings" became smaller and smaller to the point that I was unable to use it anymore. Something about a software that was not properly installed. Still under warranty, so I returned it to HP. They are still working on it. Had to wait days for them to send me a box. Now waiting for them to fix the issues and will have to wait who knows how long to get the laptop back. Really frustrated, invested in getting a laptop that I needed (not just a want) for work, now I am out of a laptop and will essentially be getting a refurbished laptop. And who knows how long it will work if it broke with less than 2 weeks usage. I am giving it 3 stars because for the few days I had it I liked what i was able to discover. Did not even get a chance to really assess all the features. Also, based on all the reviews I choose to assume I just got a defective products. But it SUCKS!!!!! Edit 8/14 I received my "repaired" Laptop on on 8/7 (they did not even bother to send it via a priority mail despite the fact that it will put me out of a computer for a total of 3 weeks). Started using the laptop again on 8/8, the language kept changing by itself, then the mode (light mode vs. high contrast mode vs dark mode) always changed without me doing it. Then for 3 days it did not give me an issue and I thought I was all good. I wake up this morning to work and CRASHED!!! Again!!!! same problem that had me send it to HP before!!! no OS installed????? Called HP support service. After being on hold I explained the problem and informed that all they can do is take the computer again to re-installed the OS. What??? How is it going to be different this time around? Put me out for another 3 weeks, unable to work, limited productivity? escalated to supervisor who tells me the same thing. Plus they cannot send me a loaner in the meantime because it is only sent if the computer is with them for a long time? Excuse me? computer purchased on June 21st. Have used it altogther for maybe 2 weeks total the rest of the time unusable and it is not long enough to send me a loaner while you are doing the same thing you did before? At this point I just need this "laptop" replaced. I am beyond livid! HP you lost a customer and all her friends and family for life. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this so called laptop! (Also just read some of the reviews and realized that some people had the same issue with the OS uninstalled in the past! I wish i had read it before :(

I use this to operate my laser. Works hard all day long. I can sit and program in one room then take the computer to the laser and start the job.

Nice design. Very light. Good keyboard. Good battery life. Touchpad was a little too sensitive but was able to adjust that. The annoying problem isn't with the HP but with Windows 10. My internet drops 3 or 4 times a day. I have found several workarounds online - can't call them fixes since they are temporary. Hopefully Microsoft will come out with a fix soon. We have 4 laptops in the house. This is the only one with Windows 10 and the only one behaving this way.

I purchase this laptop as an emergency laptop when I can't use desktop, mostly doing pixel-art/8-bit art, from illustrating to animating each art. Also, perfect for making common tasks like writing a doc, making a presentation, browsing on ethernet, etc. I can push it a little more using other software like Affinity Suite, and surprisingly works very well (not the best performance, but you can get the work done). NOTE: Speakers are bad, like REALLY BAD. They died in like two months, having high peaks in the sound.

When I bought it fresh out the box it crashed repeatedly, and unpredictable and has since been fine. But when I first got it I wanted to return it but I wouldn't get a full refund so I just stuck it out and eventually after a lot of restarts, it was fine. 6/10 wouldn't buy again. (but it holds up fine now sooo make of it what you will)
