I was very disappointed to find that despite the description saying the computer had a card reader, and a picture of the side of the laptop showed a card reader slot, this computer does not have one. This was more of a problem because I frequently use both a wireless mouse, and an external speaker. Using a card reader requires an external USB reader and unplugging either the mouse or the speaker. So, I need to buy a USB hub/card reader, which is one more thing to tote along on business trips. However, everything else about the computer's operation, display, and speed is very good. I do not use the computer for gaming, but I do use it for large spreadsheets, mathematical solutions, documents and presentations, and it is more than adequate for that. It works well with Zoom. One issue that I and others have with the HP (and many other laptops) is the lack of contrast and small size of the keyboard lettering. While most of us know touch typing, there are keys that we have to look for occasionally, and they are difficult to find, especially in certain lighting. Manufacturers should use larger, bold and contrasting colors for their keyboard letters.

I needed a bigger screen laptop when not using my desktop. I'm not playing games on it but to browse the internet and do work related functions. This laptop is perfect for it. The speed of the 11th gen i5 works great and it seems pretty sturdy without being too heavy for the 17.3 screen.

When I first started to use it I found it a bit confusing. My last laptop was over 10 years old and the keyboard was different on this one. Now, don't laugh, but it took me a little searching to find the power button!!! Every laptop I've owned has it in the upper left side as a stand alone. Took some getting used to but love it!

I had to return this laptop because the screen was flashing on and off. But I think it was more from shipping. Other laptop purchases from them have been great. The cable that connects the screen clearly had a loose connection, but it felt like the screwed that secure the motherboard to the case were broken... As if something very heavy was stacked on top of the box during transit. When picking up the laptop, I could feel the entire keyboard area of the case flex and would cause the screen to fade in and out. I never had a chance to try out the touch screen or even set up Windows because of this.

I am very happy that I purchased this HP Laptop when I did. I was desperate for a laptop that would help me get through Finals Week at college. I was able to take required notes from written lectures, plus write a Final Paper for my class. This resulted in me being awarded an "A" for the class. I'm not so sure I would have done as well as I did if I had not purchased this HP Laptop. Even though that class is over, I still use - and love - this laptop! And I am more than ready for my upcoming 2 classes this year, and my last 6 classes in 2023, thanks to my HP Laptop. Thanks for making such a great product!

This computer is costly and deserves five stars for all its features and fantastic simplicity in setting it up. However, it arrived with only HALF a power cord (the plug for the socket from the transformer on was not in the box). Luckily, I had the cord from my older HP computer to attach; however, if did not have that, it would have been a major inconvenience. Since I wanted to keep the older computer as a spare, I went to a big box computer store to purchase another power cord (turns out they are rather pricey). I should not have had to do that. Had I not lived in a large city, that step would not have been easy, either. Since I had spent a large sum on this Item, such a layout of further money and inconvenience seems sloppy on the part of HP. However, that is my only complaint because the computer. It is powerful, easy to learn, has a exceptionally sharp screen resolution, and sort of runs itself.
