Seller delivered fantastic build on this 8-core Ryzen 15.6 touchscreen 1TB SSD with 32GB RAM. I have owned a lot of laptops. This is my new favorite. I am not a gamer. This Radeon GPU wouldn’t qualify this laptop as a gaming laptop, but otherwise it delivers everything I need; plenty of computing power and performance. Touchscreen is beautiful and responsive. Bang and Olufsen sound is mediocre. Backlit keyboard is nice. I couldn’t be happier. With Asurion 4-year plan + taxes, this cost under $1K; phenomenal price and build for the specs.

This HP laptop is definitely a step up from the previous ones I've had. Thanks to the SSD the heating issues seem to be all but gone, and the RAM and processor give this some real horsepower for the audio and video editing I do, not to mention multiple tabs in web browsers. Very happy with the processor as my previous AMD processors were clunky and slow. It does only have three USB ports (2xUSB-A 3.0 and USB-C) and a microSD slot (would have preferred full size SD but oh well), so if you use multiple peripherals, a USB-C docking station or at minimum a USB hub is recommended. For the price and what you get, I do prefer this over a Surface Pro (which I have also owned) because you get more screen and better compatibility with multiple devices while saving money.

I'm a small business owner and when it came time to replace my laptop, I focused on what would help me accomplish my daily work goals but not break the bank. This laptop from HP has absolutely fit the bill. Not it doesn't have a touch screen, nor does it have a "quadraphonic Blaupunkt " (bonus points if you get that movie reference), but when it comes down to it I didn't need all those bells and whistles to get my work done each day. This laptop is light weight, fast, has a good number of ports at at 15.6" is a perfect size weather working from home or at a clients location. I work in IT so if I could add one thing to the computer, it would be an ethernet port, but the dongle I purchased gives me more USB ports and an ethernet port and works just fine so far. So, if you are looking for a computer that just works, this HP Pavillion is a great choice.

I have had the computer about a month and I noticed that the USB on the right hand side is not working. I'm not sure whether it was from the beginning or whether it just happened. I was wondering if it needed to be turned on? Other than that it works fine.

Finished installing windows and wife used it for a day for work. Then started blue screening so badly I couldn't even restore. Went into bios diagnostics and shows memory check failed. Contacted HP support and I have to ship them the laptop to fix. Frustrating as if I wanted a refurbished laptop I could have saved hundreds of dollars. Worked for 1 day....

Purchases TWO of these for my kids. Both laptops worked great for three days and then started crashing repeatedly. They are completely unusable. Did windows restore on both units, no change. Not what I expect from a new computer.
