OK, I'll admit: I was extremely skeptical when buying this "renewed" laptop. I can't tell you how many times I've bought a "refurbished" device only to receive something that looked and performed like it had been to war. Echoing what others have said, this is the exact opposite. My laptop came well-packaged and it comes in Microsoft Certified Refurbished white box. It was even packaged like it was brand new with the plastic wrap on the device and accessories (which were also new). Furthermore, there were no signs of wear or use on the laptop. It looks like a brand new device. I checked the battery health (both with Windows and Linux) and both report the battery at 100% health. In fact, Windows had the cycle count at 2. For the laptop itself, I'm very impressed with the Surface Laptop Go. I was coming from a Chuwi laptop, which was good in its own right, but I can't believe how premium this laptop is. It's fast, well-built and handles anything I need to do on it. Admittedly, I was worried about the display resolution, but after using the device, I can say it was unfounded. The display on this thing is fantastic. Where it falls short on the resolution numbers, it makes up by being a fantastic panel. The keyboard and trackpad are great. I understand that people miss the backlit keyboard, but that's a non-issue for me. I usually turn that feature off to save on battery. The sound quality is also great. It's loud with good clarity. I can't speak on the battery life, yet, but it seems average so far. Being a Microsoft device, Windows 11 is a pleasant experience. However, if you're a Linux fan (like me), you'll be happy to know that everything works out of the box. Overall, I am extremely pleased. The condition, value and performance of the laptop are all fantastic. I can't speak of the longevity of the laptop, but everything seems great so far. Sure, there are better value options out there (Chuwi, Alldocube, etc.) in this price segment, but I worried about the quality control with those devices. I would definitely purchase this again.

I don't normally write reviews unless I'm severely disappointed, or extremely impressed. This is an extremely impressed review. I bought this refurbished Surface Go (128GB), thinking it would be a nice little emailer/surfer/travel PC that was USED but serviceable. When I first opened the box, I though Amazon made a mistake and sent me a new unit. This impression continues as I write this. Full original retail packaging. Even the charger came perfectly wrapped in the little plastic thingies. I can't find one scratch, dent, smudge or blemish. There is ZERO indication that this is not a new unit. ...except for the "Refurbished" text printed on the low left of the retail box. Maybe this a a roll of the dice, or maybe not. As for the unit itself, I can't believe what I got for paying so little. Fast, well thought out, VERY impressive screen (even given the LOW dpi) and a premium feel. I get about 7 hours battery before it goes into saver mode. It's very fast for the every day stuff and the finger print login works very well. NO bloatware pre-installed. So, the negatives? There are only two imo. Firstly, no backlit keyboard. The second is huge. When you get this, you will be so happy that you will immediately start searching the web for an SSD upgrade. The Surface Go's use an M.2 2230 PCIe NVMe solid state drive. Anything above 128GB (256GB ,512GB) are very expensive, because they are so small and rare, presumably. Additionally, the unit is very difficult to get into to actually do the swap. For now, I'm dealing. But this could be my daily driver if I ever decide to do the upgrade. That said, get the 256GB if you can swing it. Lastly, the default charger cable/power supply is awful. Stiff and unwieldly. There is no good way to wrap it up for your bag. So... Ditch the included charger. Get yourself a USBC charger (anything above 39 watts) and a nice USBC power cable. I stick with Anker products and mine are working perfectly, matches the color and lightens my bag.

I like this! It is an amazing and cute size, for me it is enough to write some essays and check the emails or look through the internet!

I bought this as kind of a risk but honestly did not expect it be in such great shape from the actual laptop to the packaging was perfect. If you’re looking to save about $300 I defiantly reccomend this :)

At this point, Im completely satisfied with the computer. Initially, I was very frustrated that the computer was running EXTREMELY SLOW. Took internet page 30-45 secs to load, performance was crap. I went to check updates to see if any fixes were available, and found about 20 fixes that were needed. Took a while to complete all of the updates, but once I did the computer started performing as expected. No complaints so far.

This has been very helpful for my college work, has a lot less issues than my iPad and it can run all the software I need.
