well, i got this with amazon as opposed to dell directly, or best buy. that being said, i got a two year warranty and microsoft included for a good price, and still had more money left from my tax refund. so, that's good news. still, it's slower then i thought, but i got a good price because i got the older drive with 16gb.

It works well and it isn't expensive for a laptop. I got it just to write and for school, but its great to watch videos and Netflix as well. I recommend paying more and getting the highest capacity possible. Its more space and It will connect to the internet better. Also switching to a google chrome browser is good because its way easier to use. You just have to look it up and hit download. Then later you can go to the chrome web store and you can get extensions/add ons for your laptop. The screen quality and volume are meh, but its overall a pretty good deal.

I don't want to sound like a grouch, but I expected better. First be forewarned. This is NOT a touch screen computer. So if you want to be using your mouse and touchpad and clicking on things you'll be stoked. Second, my son the tech told me an HDD drive is much slower than an SSD. He installed a SSD in place of the HHD. Third, in the process of installing the new drive, my son formated and restored. Unfortunately, when the computer restored everything was in Chinese. I assume it's Chinese. I can't read it. So he called Dell for tech support. But the tech support guy didn't know what to do, so he "escalated" it. We'll get a call from Dell tomorrow...meanwhile I can't use my new, clunkier-than-expected newest model computer. Oh, one last thing: OneDrive is ransomware from Microsoft. It quickly ran out of space and Microsoft wants a couple bucks a month to "upgrade". I didn't upgrade so OneDrive refused to let me save anything. So I uninstalled it. My suggestion would be to back up your files on a thumb drive or an external hard drive and not depend on "the cloud"

I used this same model at my previous employer and had no issues with it. However once I left the company to start my own business, I purchased the same laptop from Amazon, without reading reviews because I had already used it, and was extremely disappointed. It loads so slowly it's impossible to use for business. If you plan on having multiple tabs open at once, attending virtual meetings, and having spreadsheets open, simultaneously, DO NOT PURCHASE. I made the mistake of updating when connected to a mobile hot spot and it took 18 hours to finish. It can't even keep up when typing a sentence, each letter loads so slowly, you have to hope you don't make a mistake and have to backspace. All-in-all, I am very disappointed in this product. Luckily I started the return 29 days after purchasing, so I am resetting it now, and headed to UPS after I type this review. I will do a little more research before purchasing my next laptop.

I received this Dell on April 1st and I’m already seeing red flags. My previous laptop, a Lenovo, never gave me issues like this. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to get this thing started for the last 20 minutes. It’s ridiculous for a new computer to be so unreliable. I’ll never buy another Dell again. This one is being shipped back.
